Review of The Three Heavens
The Three Heavens by Paul Hitchiner explains in-depth about Christianity as we know it. Over the years, Christianity has morphed and evolved. There have been changes in religious practices, and even the belief itself has transitioned. Some of the changes have caused differences. We have also seen the rise of cults, sects and breakaway churches. This shows that religion plays a huge role in our lives, and depending on how religious issues are handled, there could be war or peace. Paul seeks to remind us that we have the Bible. This is the best reference point for Christians. Sometimes we interpret it differently, but that is not a reason for dispute. There are probably better ways of handling these. Paul brings to light everything, good and bad, and our role is to open our eyes and minds to the truth, and at the same time, seek God’s guidance through prayers and completely submitting to Him.
The Three Heavens has many positive aspects. To begin with, it is a good reference point for a Christian who seeks to understand God’s will and salvation as a whole. Paul clearly shows how Christians can live right and do everything in a way that feels right, but still fall back almost every other time. Paul says that this may be because one hasn’t fully given up their lives for Christ, and he shows us how to do this effectively. This alone is a very valuable lesson. There are many of us who were born and raised in church. For the most part, we live right, but when the storm comes, we aren’t left out. Understanding what God says in His word about total surrender and giving it all up for Christ is the best gift for all.
The Three Heavens was exceptionally well-edited and there are no negative aspects to it. The book was well explained and designed to suit all: new, ripe and experienced people in the Christian faith.
The Three Heavens uses real-life examples to expound on its theme. Paul also talks about early churches, comparing them to the current ones. This helps the reader to get a feel of what it felt to be in a church back then, and what it feels to be in a church now. Through this, the flaws are easily revealed, and an individual can easily see where they have fallen short. He also goes farther to quote different Biblical scripts and contextualize them. This enhances the book’s understanding, probing readers to better themselves further. I therefore rate the book 5 out of 5 .
I would recommend The Three Heavens to each and every Christian. It doesn’t matter if you are new or old, or whether you started believing yesterday or many years ago. The Three Heavens has something valuable and insightful to teach you about Christianity. I can assure you that by the time you’re reading the last page, you will have so much to work on. Any reader seeking to understand Christianity will also find this book very interesting.
