Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non- fictional novel of 35,500 words completely covering plans to have a stress- free retirement and to have a fully financed post- life.

This book consists of 13 well defined chapters starting with a solid plan for a financially secured retirement till affordable health insurance. The author focused on 401(k)s and its importance in the retirement age of every American citizen. According to the Census Bureau, 79% of Americans have access to 401(k)s but only 32% of Americans were actually putting their money into it. As the average life span of human being has increased, the investment in retirement should also increase. Reconfiguring the life is a turning point in everyone’s life. Fleischauer has also mentioned various websites to test ourselves regarding work values, career planning and so on. He has also attached a separate chapter that includes his suggestions on books related to retirement planning. This novel covered various topics in a detailed yet interesting way.

This novel is written using simple English in a friendly tone. Reading most part of this novel felt like having a one-on-one conversation with the author. I am totally impressed by E. Alan Fleischauer’s knowledge in financial planning. He is a graduate from American College of Financial Services with work experience of being a certified financial planner, chartered financial planner, chartered financial consultant, retirement income professional and an estate planner for years. With this sort of experience, it is no wonder that he is able to think from every citizen’s point of view about retirement and make out a perfect plan.

I rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars. The entire novel was so interesting to read. I fell in love with the author’s friendly tone and his financial jokes. The colorful images attached were eye- catching and grabbed my attention entirely. As I found no errors in this novel, it is safe to say that it is well- edited. I have no negative comments regarding this book and I completely adore it from the beginning till the end.

I recommend this book to everyone who are interested to learn about financial and retirement planning. I highly recommend it to working American citizens of any age group as this particular novel focuses more on 401(k)s and American laws. As this novel is written by a guy with more than 20 years of experience in this field, reading this book is must.
