Review of A Dream For Peace
A Dream for Peace is a memoir by Ghoulem Berrah following the author's life. The book begins by telling us about the author's upbringing as a devout young boy in Algeria, where he was raised by his mother, who was both rigorous and caring. His exceptional academic success has given him the chance to continue his education abroad. The author discusses his efforts to bring about world peace as well as the freedom of Algeria and other nations throughout the entire book. The author's enthusiasm for assisting others was contagious, which was inspiring. The author was prepared to put himself at risk to defend his people and country since it was so essential to him. Many more young individuals shared their fervor for the liberation cause. It was fascinating to read about the successes of young people who founded organizations to improve everyone's quality of life.
The writing in this book is excellent, in my opinion. The author gave a detailed account of his life experiences. I am inspired by the author's will to stand up for what is right. To achieve his nation's liberty, he underwent extreme hardship. There are many worthwhile lessons in this book. I admire how brave he is. He personifies all the virtues of love, faith, duty, peace, honor, justice, and communication. He desired an uprising. Furthermore, he made a point of emphasizing the harmony between the many religions. Likewise, he, for instance, developed wonderful friendships with people of many racial and religious backgrounds. Likewise, he had a very humble demeanor. Furthermore, he fought for independence. He worked hard to make freedom more than just a pipe dream.
The book was thoughtful and well-written, despite its length and some difficult-to-pronounce vocabulary. Aside from that, this book was enjoyable to read because it maintained my interest throughout. I appreciated how he skillfully and relatable portrayed his feelings and thoughts in his writing by using words and idioms. He provided footnotes at the conclusion of each chapter, which I like.
This book has taught me a lot about history. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's level of political involvement is astounding. The book was inspiring and enlightening. I am rating this book, A Dream for Peace, 5 out of 5 stars because it was well organized and intriguing to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in African history, politics, or colonialism.
