The author of the self-help book Reconfigurement is E. Alan Fleischauer. It is a nonfiction book on money management. The author explores the benefits and drawbacks of retirement and provides practical suggestions on how to have a meaningful life at an advanced age. Given that individuals are already living longer than average, the book explains how one could reconsider and revitalize their life. The loss of their past career often causes pain for many retirees, and they may also fret and worry about how they will occupy their days. The author makes use of this platform to inspire optimism in these people's futures.

Each chapter of the book covers an important topic related to retirement. The topics of income, social security, life insurance, and investments are covered in the initial chapters. In the book, retirement is shown as a personal decision, and several responses are demonstrated. It can be referred to as a "late-life crisis" by some, while others would view it as a relief or even as a chance to do things they hadn't been able to do previously. Many individuals view retirement as a chance to resume life aspirations that may have been put on hold due to the strain of raising a family. Quite a few people could consider retiring to be a waste of time and desire to continue working since they worry that if they do, they won't be able to support themselves. The inflow of money would halt. According to a person's personality qualities, the book provides excellent recommendations on what kind of occupations they could be successful at and what types of careers they should steer clear of. Additionally, it demonstrates how people may prepare for the future by taking on side jobs, signing up for Medicare, clearing space in their vacation schedules, investing in stocks, and even drafting wills.

This book is a wise work of literature. Even though it is mostly aimed at an older audience, I nevertheless valued the insights it provided on issues like investing and obtaining other sources of income. I had no idea what the phrase "401k" meant before reading this book. I like how the author provided a thorough explanation and emphasized the value of having one. I also appreciated that the author didn't overlook the importance of having fun while you're retired. I was impressed that he also touched on life insurance, a subject no one ever wants to bring up.

This book was written in such a straightforward and entertaining manner that it is practically impossible to dislike anything about it. However, I felt that it grew a little boring at the conclusion. This isn't the kind of book I would pick up off the shelf when I was younger.

This book is very instructional, and it enables elderly people to continue to find fulfilment in their work, which is why I gave it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The message that life is not over until it is is one that I adore conveying to others. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free. I recommend this book to elderly people looking for a safe place to invest their money, as well as anyone interested in learning more about financial management.
