The definition of memories as what makes life possible is best expressed in Heather Simpson's My Brave Face . Ray and his wife, who was born with some bone deformities, tie the knot as they prepare to receive what life will offer them since they aren't entirely stable financially. To add to their bewilderment, Steve is born and happens to be suffering from some worse version of the mother's disease. This life journey is neatly presented to the reader.

I think love doesn't get better than this. Ray decides to marry a lady who told him of her severe inherited disease. What's even funnier is the answer he gives her when she mentions that fact when they were dating. Ray shows his altruistic love, which is absolute and one that withstood all pressures given their son's predicament, financial struggles, and whatever hurdles were presented to them.

The book actually poses a challenge to today’s relationships, where people bow out when they feel it's too much for them, leaving the other party to bear the cross alone. The book clearly shows how family is key and how one should always be there for these people. What added to my interest in the book was the inclusion of details, which may be viewed as flimsy but entirely enabled one to connect with the author. The book has pictures, which also serve the same purpose of helping a reader connect with the author. The book has been professionally edited.

The book has been divided into chapters, enhancing the reader's experience. It's interesting that the author included even internal letters as a way of connecting with a reader. Dialogue is also used in the book. I liked the book in its entirety and found nothing to dislike. It's also good to recognize the efforts being made at redirecting this kind of health issue and enabling people to live their normal lives. Education also stands out as a weapon to extinguish poverty. As portrayed in the book, touring also poses as a remedy for the soul.

The book needs nothing less than 5 out of 5 stars as it portrays honesty and royalty by the Simpson family all through their lives, even while being humble at some points in life and clinging onto each other for the comfort they required. The book is appropriate for engaged couples as well as young minds in general. Heather Simpson sheds light on the importance of scientific research and the quest for maximizing the human experience for every soul.
