Review of Reconfigurement
[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
Reconfigurement is an individual nonfiction novel about budgeting and personal finance. It provides you with the opportunity to learn about retirement, money management, disability insurance, and much more. In order to properly secure your future and later be able to unwind, Alan E. Fleischauer discusses all the various factors that are involved. He was qualified to provide a thorough overview because of his experience as a financial services executive, businessman, and venture capitalist in this area. Many people express unhappiness with their professions and workplaces. This topic is covered in this book, and the author stipulates the idea of change. In addition to providing helpful advice for locating reputable financial advisors and life insurance agents, the author delivers concise explanations of financial ideas and models in an approachable manner.
Now for the book's benefits: The book contains sound recommendations and technical information. The author raises several excellent topics that all working people should consider. I really liked how he doesn't claim to be an expert in every field and is quick to provide other knowledgeable sources in fields where he lacks proficiency. When you read a self-help book, you are looking for direction and instructions, but this book also teaches and challenges your thinking. On the editing part, I would say the book was exceptionally well-edited.
To keep the tone light and make the content easier to understand, each chapter included jokes and stories. However, I found the jokes to make the reading feel a bit long-winded, making it difficult for me to fully comprehend the concepts. The author gives a thorough overview of the factors to take into account while making financial plans for the readers; however, I believe some of the topics still need further in-depth investigation.
I would give the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The primary factor influencing my rating is the fact that the book's central concept of financial planning, which employs both sides of the brain to make wise financial decisions, is a dual-processing strategy. Because it deals with difficult topics deftly and with a dash of humor, I was unwilling to give the book a lower rating.
To anyone looking for self-help material on investment and financial planning, I would suggest this book. The book is ideal for US readers who are considering establishing retirement arrangements. As the mechanisms it discusses are accessible in the USA, I also believe it to be a great book for those looking to relocate permanently there.
