Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a self-help book aimed at motivating readers to take charge of their finances and set up a well-planned retirement structure. In a society where many businessmen and women suffer at their retirement age due to improper planning or misused opportunities, this book serves as a blueprint for a better retirement plan.

This book is a 180-page long informative book, it begins with a quick description of the existing decay threatening to destroy the financial security of Americans and with society busy with activities, employers making extra profits from the time of employees plus the inability to contain the ever-increasing population it is just a matter of time before retirement sets in and many are left unprepared. In this book, Alan explains to his readers the fundamentals of Planning for retirement and he carefully elaborates on retirement issues commonly faced such as managing your income, various factors to consider when accepting a job, dealing with a disability and securing suitable insurance. Then included in this book are links to help readers get additional insight on all that was discussed in the book.

Alan used quite a creative writing technique in this book, and it helped distinguish this book from several others. He is familiar with his target audience and used comprehensible grammar and well-explained terms plus a bit of humor to make his piece of narrative extremely unique. Although this book discusses an inevitable real-life issue I must admit is quite scary to me since I haven’t thought about what retirement would mean to me but I was able to remain calm from the first page to the last because of the author's ability to proffer solution and to discuss the problems with a sense of hope in his voice.

Although this book seemed to focus more on solving the American retirement problems, I enjoyed reading this book. And I still found useful materials and tips I can adopt that can also be applied in my country. This book is properly edited, and error-free and can be read by anyone up to or below the age of retirement.

This book gave me a profound reading experience but in case of a re-edit, I advise Alan to structure this book in a way that it can cover all geographical regions. Nevertheless, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I, therefore, recommend this book to every businessman and woman, employee, parent, and an elderly person and basically to everyone that has come to a decision-making and working age; read this book and discover for yourself the perfect blueprint for retirement and financial freedom!
