Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead. by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non-fictional book that covers personal retirement finance as its core concept.

E. Alan Fleischauer, an American Financial Advisor, has taken the time to share some valuable insights into retirement planning, savings, insurance, investment, and much more techniques that he has gained over the course of his career. He has also mentioned noting a few tools that one can use to make financial planning a smoother experience.

This book emphasizes the gap between tradition and reality when it comes to retirement planning in terms of finance. The author then states that thinking ahead of time is one solution to bridge this gap and shows us how to do that.

The author shows his conversation skills consistently throughout the book and keeps us engaged to a certain degree. He has proven his high value for the great speaker that he is in his personal life. He does make a certain effort to keep it humorous by sharing his collection of dad jokes. Few of them are chuckle-worthy. He manages to feed the left side of the brain with crucial strategies and a clear perception of the topics dealt with.

Now, has he done justice to what he claims? Yes, but there are a few caveats. This book focuses mainly on Americans and people who are planning for their retirement. So, if you’re an American over 40, or someone younger but has already started planning for retirement, this book is a highly recommended one that could possibly save you from being broke in your final years. But this book would provide much lesser value if you’re not an American or not planning for retirement. The author has explained in detail the history of the few financial plans and schemes, but I felt it was a bit too long and could have been shorter or avoided completely. Maybe someone who's in interested in history might like it.

As a 24-year-old adult South Asian who’s just starting out to invest, this book opened so many ways that I can look into it. I’m not sure if all the plans and schemes exist in America exist in my country as well, but I would at least make an effort to do my bit of research.

This book is professionally edited and I couldn’t find any errors. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the neat clarification and guidance on the topic. I did not find anything that's worth reducing a star.
