After reading and before reviewing this book, I’ve been contemplating my life decisions over the past few days. Who Are You, Really? by Ray LeCara Jr. is a quick read that offers insightful suggestions that will help to revitalize ourselves. There are numerous quotes I’d highlight, but even penning them down in this review would not be enough. This book helps you explore yourself while re-innovating and changing into a better version of yourself.

The book is broken down into five parts. The author phrases them as follows: “Who Are You?, Living Up to Your Potential, Vulnerability & Transparency, The Most Powerful Version of You, and Authentic, Out Loud!” There is no rocket science in any segment. Instead, we have quick reminders of things we may already know and insights that’ll level up your life. This precise guide will make you a better parent, sibling, co-worker, employer, and friend. It is not about perfection; humans cannot achieve perfection. Instead, Ray helps boost your self-esteem and spiritual aspects.

What is that vice you’re battling? Are you envious of your co-worker’s promotion? After devouring this work, the most vital question to ask yourself is whether or not you’re living your authentic self.

One thing I enjoyed was conscious writing. The author carefully selects the “they” pronoun while referring to individuals. Whether or not that was deliberate, it was a welcome addition to the readers, especially me. I loved the points noted on leaders. One crucial point is that a leader needs to be inspirational. Productiveness is necessary. However, how you relate with those under you matters the most.

The author notes, “Acknowledge that the people around you have their strengths, and those strengths may exceed yours in certain areas.” This statement speaks volumes about leadership skills. This book will make you reflect on how you have been treating others and if you have unfulfilled potential. I appreciated the questions Ray included after a segment. They posed a daunting challenge for friendship, workplaces, dating, family, and career choices.

I found a few grammatical errors. Therefore, the book is professionally edited. I did not identify anything to dislike. I award this masterpiece a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars. If there’s something I’ve realized, it is that no one is too old to learn something new. I recommend the book to people from all walks of life because you can gain wise words from it.
