I rate this book a 4 out of 5. Chris Dreyer was able to hold my attention to a business topic that I wouldn't typically read about. He provides concise chunks of easily digestible information in the sphere of niching that are emphasized with a quick anecdotal example from his life. He is the type of person that runs with any idea he comes up with and has the confidence to follow through. He has been able to become and expert and niche up in collectible card gaming, affiliate marketing, poker, and finally SEO for personal injury lawyers. Along with tips that could be considered common sense, he has specialized advice and warnings about easy pitfalls when first attempting to niche up in business.
I appreciate the editing style of this book with a lot of short paragraphs and short examples. While I don't have a business of any kind, I would pick up this book again if I start a small business just to get a refresher from someone who is obviously a master at niching. Another key point of this book is relationship equity. You can become an expert in one niched field, but to remain successful, you need to build strong relationships with your key audience, parallel professionals in the same market, and competition.
