A Dream for Peace, written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, is based on actual occurrences. The author was born into a lower-class household in the Algerian province of Constantine's Aïn Beïda. This is an insightful book in which the author goes into painstaking depth to illustrate how different events he experienced as a child impacted him. All people's freedom and equality are a reoccurring subject throughout the book. By actively promoting complete freedom across Africa, notably in Algeria, and by lending his voice to the populace without restriction, he takes a stand against colonialism and bigotry. Since he was a boy, the author had been a witness to the local Algerians' suffering at the hands of the French colonists. This inspired him to speak up and stop the atrocities being done to his people. He establishes a historic first by becoming the first scientist to put up a notion regarding the “reverse transcriptase enzyme.”

Even in the face of political unrest, the author emphasizes the value of education. The book also describes how colonial rulers affected their people. The author's unpleasant origin makes the book motivating, yet he has managed to mold his fortune well because of the education his parents supported. Not only was he an accomplished scientist who made considerable contributions to the field, but he also had a political bent and was present for many important political events. His tale is conveyed with wisdom and honesty. I also liked how well the book's concepts were communicated. For instance, the book begins with a series of themes that describe the author's upbringing in great detail.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was interesting and well-written, although some vocabulary was challenging to pronounce. Other than that, I enjoyed reading it. The book's easy reading style was one of my favorites. A combination of the book's layout and the use of simple language helped achieve this. The story's paragraphs are organized and written effectively, as far as I can tell. Events in the author's life are arranged in the book's order. The author also provided images that helped me visualize the story's setting.

I am rating this book, A Dream for Peace, 5 out of 5 stars because it was educational and entertaining to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy politics, history, and autobiographies.
