I have read crazy short stories this year, but Mustache Rydes by Steven A. Yagyagan has outdone every installment. The author shares his experiences as a Rideshare driver since 2013. For years, Steven was nurtured into the traditional corporate world. Seeing his parents struggle at a young age, he chose to work extra hard to give his family a good life. After years of serving in a white-collar career, the author decided to lead a more passionate and fulfilling lifestyle. Entering the Rideshare business was the best fit!

Uber or Lyft drivers encounter different clients with diverse personalities. After a long day, some people go for a night out and pick a taxi home afterward. The author recounts his wild and fascinating experiences as a Rideshare driver. In one story, we see clients offering sexual options to Steven, or as per his business nickname, Boysan. A few would invite him for a threesome, both men and women. In another story, we read about the fun escapades of the LGBTQ community. Pick a copy of the work to follow more tales of Boysan's experiences.

I cherished how Boysan mentored more drivers. While many people would perceive this as competition, the author was ready to welcome new people into the job. In addition, his composure and professionalism were top-notch! Many drivers would have fallen into sexual temptations offered by intoxicated clients. Or even worse, some would use inebriated customers, too drunk to perceive the happenings.

Sometimes, we have to make bold choices to live a fulfilling life. Boysan took the bold step of leaving the corporate world for the Rideshare business. While such a decision was unwelcoming to his family, it was all he desired. The informal writing was humorous, and his way of making his clients feel at home was hilarious! I laughed at Boysan's slogan: “Welcome to the Luau Ryde! Everybody gets lei’d!”

I did discover a few errors. Otherwise, Mustache Rydes is professionally edited. While this is the second installment in its series, you do not need its prequel to grasp it. I can't wait to get more of Steven A. Yagyagan's installments. "Luau Ryde" was the name of his Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I am sure it has encountered crazy experiences— if only cars could talk! I found nothing to dislike. Therefore, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to any reader who would love to read short and wild true stories.

It captivated my interest how the author boldly took a leap from his corporate career to follow his dream job as a Rideshare driver. Mentoring young drivers and not thinking of them as competition is a good trait. Congrats would love to read this true story.

The author's experiences as a rideshare driver seem crazy and amusing. I find it brave to make a bold decision to live a fulfilling lifestyle even if the family does not agree. Also, he teaches us composure and professionalism at the workplace.

This sounds like a really interesting story and I would love to read it. It reminds me of a reality TV show called 'Njoro Wa Uba'. The show is about the daily experiences of a taxi driver in Kenya and how he navigates handling all kind of clients. From the craziest demands to the humblest of clients. At the end of the day sometimes all we need is someone to listen to us.

- Even if the decision was unwelcoming to the family, in my opinion, the adult should give that choice to the child. It could be the one desire that the child is being deprived of. And who are we, to deprive our children of their happiness?!! A review well written. Thank you.

Thanks for the great review. Cab drivers have tons of stories to tell of the clients they ferry around and about. It would make for a lively reading experience on these stories. It would also be great to learn how Boysan adapted to life after leaving the corporate world.

Escaping the corporate world can be challenging but tempting. It does not always work out but if it did for the author, congratulations, for getting the BOTD, not for it all working out (just kidding) and also best wishes for future projects.

Oh to be a fly on the wall, which I guess is exactly what this book lets you in on. I’m intrigued to follow the events and all the peculiar and exciting scenarios being a driver must allow you to witness and be part of. Well done on #BOTD, truly seems like an insightful and humourous read.
