The life of Mary McMillan in this Memoir is a good one to emulate... She didn't just learn things related to her vision, but offered her service even as a volunteer to save more life.

Awesome review for such a great book.

This looks like a great memoir of an iconic personality. I think Mary was a strong character for her era. She stood against stereotypes and showed the world that a woman can do amazing things. Good job with this review Sophia!

The life of Mary Mcmillian is quite inspiring. Though I am not a fan of historical memoirs. I really admire any woman achievements especially during the war.

Mary's story is incredibly inspiring. Her desire to learn a specific field to assist and rescue people is truly remarkable. Her life experiences, as conveyed through this book, demonstrate that Mary possesses a strong and determined personality.
