Born on a Blue Day by Daniel Tammet

Daniel Tammet was born on a Wednesday, he has asperger syndrome and is a synesthete, and because of his synesthesia...Wednesdays are blue, nines are tall and thin--like skyscrapers, and prime numbers are like pebbles.
Words are also different for Daniel. Ladder is blue and shiny, gate is green, you get the idea.
Daniels tells his story from a childhood spent nearly friendless, to his time spent teaching English in Lithuania, to playing "guinea pig" in America.
I found this story to be an amazing one about a seemingly lost little boy as he becomes the person he was always meant to be.
Inspiring, and at times emotionally challenging, Daniel's is one set of eyes I'm thankful to have had the chance to experience the world through.
