Review of What’s Forever For? A Physician’s Guide To Everlasting Love And Success In Marriage
When I read the title of this book, I knew that I would learn a lot from it. Though I cannot relate to being married, I am usually eager to read books that educate us on marital life. There is a need to be prepared mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially for a journey that will last forever. What's Forever For? A Physician's Guide for Everlasting Love and Success in Marriage by Dr. George P "Jeep" Naum is a book that will take you on a journey through marriage.
This book starts by extensively explaining the meaning of marriage and why people get married. I was made to understand the importance of working as a team in marriage to create a healthy environment for their children. Dr. George explains the impact of our words on people. Our tongues are powerful, and we should learn to bridle them. We should be mindful of what comes out of our mouths because it has positive or negative impacts on people. The author discussed more topics about marriage, using stories to illustrate, and so much more. Get a copy of this book and read more.
Readers like me find quotes refreshing while reading a book, especially when they are in line with the subject. It creates a feeling of honesty in the content of the book. There is so much to learn from the story of Delores and Phillip. The kindness, love, and commitment to each other are worth emulating. The author said, "Marriage not only fosters love, but it also teaches love," and I agree with him. Over the years of my life, I watched my sister, who didn't believe in love, change after she got married.
The questions and spaces left for answers at the end of each chapter show how engaging this book is. I commend the author for that because it allows readers to write down what they have learned and understood from the book. Furthermore, John was a character from whom I learned the disadvantages of pride. Strategies on how to handle difficult times in marriages like those of John and Elaine and Delores and Phillip were explained properly.
The writing style of this book is simple, and I did not dislike any aspect of it. This book is a great read and was professionally edited. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend What's Forever For? A Physician's Guide for Everlasting Love and Success in Marriage for married couples that are seeking solutions to their problems.
