Tracy Lynne pours everything into her book …And Yet Life Goes On. She attempts to write her life story after years of being told to do so by friends and family. Instead of writing a large book about her life, she chooses a few pivotal parts of her journey and focuses on them. She expresses every emotion she feels while providing an honest and raw look into her life.

The author covers four main parts of her early and midlife in her book. Each part focuses on one period in her life. She has certainly lived an interesting life! It is clear the author has spent a great time choosing what to put in her book. The book begins on a lighter, more comical note, but as she progresses into parenthood, the tone becomes more serious. As the book goes on, it is as if the author grows more comfortable and familiar with the audience, sharing more and more personal information. The level of emotion towards the end of the book and how it is conveyed is truly moving. For perhaps the third time while reading a book, I was moved so much that I cried. The author's approach to writing is open and honest, resulting in a very intimate book in which you feel like you get to know her and her family as the book progresses.

There is very little negative to be found in the book. It is interesting, funny, and heartbreaking at different points. The author would have greatly benefited from the services of a good proofreader, as there are numerous errors that can detract from the reading experience at times.

I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was a really enjoyable and refreshing read. It's the first non-celebrity memoir I've read, and reading about the quirks and funny moments of everyday life was far more enjoyable than I expected. The author does a great job and makes you feel a whole range of emotions throughout the book. If not for the high number of errors, I would have given this book a 5-star rating.

I would recommend this book to male and female readers alike. The author focuses heavily on her marriage and family life, and I feel parents will particularly connect with this aspect of her writing. Being able to read how other parents have had the same struggles, but also laugh at the silliness of children at the same time!

We've longed to see the roses, but never felt the thorns
And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

This book sounds intense. I'm sorry that it was proofread. I found it very distracting! And then it takes the focus away from the story. Your review is fab!

Thank you for your kind feedback, it is a very enjoyable read other than the errors, it’s also relatively short so easy to read too!

That it is! I also love how her faith underpins it all as well.

It definitely does, I think she must have used a computer spell check as some of the errors were correctly spelt words but the wrong word for the sentence. Thank you for your feedback :)
