Purpose: Design a Community & Change Your Life--- A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Your Purpose and Making It Matter by Gina Bianchini is a book about the importance of creating a community to help you find and achieve your purpose, or purposes in life. She outlines rituals and practices you can implement in your life to identify your big purpose. She takes you step-by-step, from beginning to end, with examples and activities to help you along the way, to finding and even creating and hosting your own meaningful community. You’ll take a look at your own upbringing and the people who have helped shaped your purpose thus far as your first community and learn how to create your own core community to help you visualize what you’re looking for in your life’s purpose.

After reading this book, I feel inspired and motivated to implement some of these tips and practices into my life. I greatly appreciated the fact that she used several real life examples in her book. It helped me visualize how these tactics can be used in the real world. She had my mind working and thinking of ideas I need to jot down. I also really enjoyed hearing about how she got to where she is now and the wonderful quotes sprinkled throughout the book, along with excellent movie references. She takes characters people you like and admire and uses them as great examples as to what you can achieve in your own life.

I can honestly say I have no complaints about this book. It’s well written and thought provoking. This author has done her research and put in the work to get where she is today. Not my usual genre, but I’m very glad I read this book. I tend to lose interest in books that get too preachy, but this book isn’t one of those. It’s realistic and useful in many ways.

I would gladly give this book 5 out of 5 stars. You’ll definitely want to have a pen and paper handy while reading this. It will inspire and get the thoughts and ideas flowing. Especially if you participate in the thought inspiring activities, which have you answering questions that open your mind up to new ideas and direction.

I recommend this book for teens and adults, men and women. Anyone who may be feeling lost or alone in the world, or who may need some guidance on their next move. Even just someone looking for some inspiration or needing that little extra nudge to follow your dreams and discover your purpose.
