Dressed To Kill by Rick Renner

Post by wordsmith2418 »

Dressed To Kill by Rick Renner is an in-depth study of Ephesians 6, a passage which illustrates a Christian's armor of God. Renner possesses a power combination of Biblical expertise coupled with the power of faith in God.

One of the things I love about Renner is his balanced approach to spiritual warfare. He breaks down each scripture by giving not only the original Greek words and their meanings, but also an historical explanation of how the words were used in Biblical times. This gives the reader enough information to thoroughly understand Apostle Paul's meaning and intent in Ephesians 6:10-18. Ultimately, the reader will gain a rich understanding of spiritual warfare, as well as the ability to use the armor of God in an effective manner.

As I read the section on the breastplate of righteousness,I felt empowered to stand tall as I walk in the righteousness of God. The author illustrated how the Roman soldiers wore brass breastplates that were polished so they would shine brightly in the sunlight as the approached their enemies as a united army. What a magnificent comparison!!

This is a great book that will change your Christian walk for the better.
