Review of Winter Love
In this sophomoric, heartbreak-filled, meaningless-sex era Winter Love swoops in to save the day. This articulation is the ultimate guide for the courting, dating and marriage scene. Linda Hayes divides the book into three sections. Part one is for the gents, the second for the ladies and the last part general advice to both.
For the men, the author provides insightful pointers on crucial issues facing them in the dating scene. Despite the book being written for the senior citizens, the issues being addressed cut across all ages. Linda Hayes talks about online dating - the dos and don'ts of online dating, how to do the dos and why not to do the don'ts. She provides insights on dress codes for the older men - fashion trends, what is pleasant and what makes them look goofy, what women find attractive and what is a turn-off and how to put together a decent outfit. The author also provides an amazing insight on sex. She provides tactics on how to ask for it, how to keep the flames burning, what pleases the women and even touches on the blue pill. Among many others, she dishes out pointers on how to walk out of a relationship that isn't working and how to behave during and after the breakup.
Ladies have not been left out as the author presents them with scrupulously researched information on not just the issues already addressed to the men but also on little juicy feminine secrets. She tells the ladies how and where to open themselves up to meet new men, how to keep themselves safe during these meetups, presenting themselves before and after finding Mr. Right and a list of red flags to look out for in the dating scene. In addition, she gives advice on the roles the lady is supposed to play in keeping the romance in the relationship alive and even describes an intercourse technique guaranteed to keep the flames red-hot. In the final part of the book, the author discusses topics such as jealousy, complacency, keeping the partners happy and wraps it up in class by providing action steps to finding one's true love.
The painstaking research evident shows that the author was passionate about writing this book and spent a lot of time in indagation to provide these facts. As Linda Hayes plays cupid in the text, it is clear that she is unbiased as she states the common mistakes made by both genders and provides solutions. Icing on the metaphorical cake is that the author provides credible examples of people who have made various mistakes and the consequences. This gives the reader an opportunity to learn from the mistakes without personally experiencing them.
The only bleak aspect throughout the read was the numerous relationships examples that ended in dust. Most of the cases provided either ended in divorce or breakups. A few more examples of relationships that did not end in tears wouldn't hurt.
I rate this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to seniors looking to get back into the dating field and anyone else trying to find and build a strong and healthy relationship.
