Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
If you have kids, you've probably had them come to you and tell you about ridiculous dreams they've had. Usually, one wouldn't make much of these dreams. Now imagine kids as young as four years old having dreams about Heaven and giving accurate accounts of these dreams. You then realize that their dreams depict the correct details contained in the Bible about Heaven; that must be something special.
In Snatched Up to Heaven!, Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul attempt to reproduce their children's dreams about Heaven faithfully. In addition to the literal wordings of their dreams, the authors have also included interpretation sections. Priyanka's dreams started in 2011, and her parents recorded those dreams. In fact, there are even Youtube videos of her narrating her experiences in Heaven. She recounts the kind of environment and people she saw in Heaven, contrasting it with Hell, which Jesus showed them from a distance. Sometimes her dreams involved the whole family; other times, only her sister and her. The author also includes interpretation segments, where she draws relevance between the dreams and the Scriptures.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. The message was one of hope in the existence of Heaven and Hell. The accuracy of these dreams by people who weren't old enough to analyze and know the Bible is a miracle in itself. It makes the stories more authentic and believable. The authors used these stories to pass along vital concepts and teachings from the Bible. I loved that focus was laid more on the Scriptures. These added even more authenticity to the book. I also liked the book's length; it was short enough to deliver the message without boredom.
The book was also organized quite neatly. The sub-titles used to separate teachings, dreams, and principles of the word made the reading more manageable and enjoyable. The authors also included tables for comparison and summary. These tables did improve the reading experience significantly. The language in the book was simple, direct, and easy to comprehend. The conversational tone made it much more engaging. There is nothing negative I can point out in this impeccable writing.
In that regard, I give the book a perfect rating of five out of five stars. It is well-written, excellently delivered, and exceptionally well-edited. The message in the book was clear and essential, especially for Christian believers. Therefore, I recommend it to all Christian parents and anyone who needs hope and proof of the existence of Heaven and Hell. I also have to applaud the authors' decision not to use the book for profit.
