One of the reasons why I love true stories is that I always find them relatable and mostly educational. That is why Wisdom of the Men by Clint Arthur is one of the books I have fallen in love with. The name of the author is not new to those who are familiar with the world of entrepreneurship and coaching. In the book, Clint Arthur brings his life into focus and attempts to inspire the reader to a life that is more fruitful and desirous. It is essentially a memoir, but written in a like a motivational book.

In the very first pages, Clint Arthur states clearly that his intention to write the book was to deliver solutions to a reader’s life. In every chapter, the author focuses on individuals that he had met and had an impact on his life. The list is quite overwhelming for those who are familiar with American celebrity names—from Ben Franklin, Nicolas Cage, George W Bush, John Travolta, Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, and the list goes on and on. The author arranges every section of the in accordance with a particular personality he is about to introduce. He tells pithy but very insightful anecdotes about these encounters. At the end of each encounter, the author has a life lesson he wants to share with the reader.

I enjoyed reading the book, and, moreover; it is exceptionally edited, and I found no error in it. Secondly, the number of celebrities and public figures that the author had encountered was so overwhelming—this was something I enjoyed. I was so enthralled to know what life lessons I could learn from such public figures. The author's writing style is so simple and friendly that I found it very easy to read the book. I also liked the shortness of every section of the book. This made sure that I lost no interest in the book as I jumped from one interesting story to another. The educational value of the book is beyond measure. Clint Arthur interweaves real life lessons in each page of the book and gives a reader a rare glimpse into how successful people operate. The book doesn't regurgitate self-help platitudes but uses real-life anecdotes to help the reader venture into a new kind of thinking.

There is nothing I disliked about the book, and I think it would only be fair to rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend the book to everyone who is getting started in life and choosing a path to follow. Every college graduate should also have a copy as there is a lot he/she can learn from this book. Those who love self-help or motivational book would also greatly benefit from this book. All in all, this is a uniquely great read.
