Yes Please, Amy Poehler

I highly recommend Yes Please to anyone who has ever wondered whether or not their favorite celebrity was as cool in real life as they imagine them to be.Amy Poehler's writing is incredibly refreshing and down-to-earth. I expected the book to be full of jokes and funny snippets of her life, but I was pleasantly surprised to read about her not-so-funny times and the struggles she went through to get to where she is today. In fact, I found some pretty great life advice in Poehler's writing. She gracefully touches on her divorce, speaks with an endearing openness in regards to self-image, and sprinkles in a bit of girl-power. Poehler is wiser than I thought she'd be while still being just as funny as I knew she was. All in all, I would want to hang out with her...or read another book by her.
