In the current world, there is an increase in criticism against Christianity. Many people criticize Christians' way of life, which does not agree with Christina's teachings. Misunderstanding Christina's teachings is also quite common. The Three Heavens by Paul Hitchner conveys this. Hitcher organized the book into three parts. The first part teaches about the requirements to get to heaven. He condemns some unbecoming acts among Christians that may hinder them from getting to heaven. The second part majorly emphasizes how Christians can be born again. He explains what it means to be born again and points out common evils in society, such as sexual immorality. The last part discusses the holy trinity. Hitchner incorporates his teachings with his personal life experiences. He also uses the book to clarify various points in the Bible, especially in the New Testament. He challenges Christians' understanding of salvation through the death of Jesus Christ.

This is an informative book, and I enjoyed how Hitcher clarified points. For example, he clearly explained the confusion surrounding the salvation of sinners. I have had confusion about how Jesus died for our sins, and yet we need to repent, or else we will be punished for our evil deeds. However, I have found answers after reading the book. I also liked the way Hitchner was truthful; he stated that none of us is holy and we should therefore strive for righteousness. I enjoyed the narration of the biblical stories, especially the war that broke out between the angels, which resulted in Satan being chased from heaven. Hitchner is bold enough to condemn wicked acts portrayed by Christians, including church leaders. He was also relating biblical teachings well to real-life situations. The Christian teachings were simplified so that they became easy to understand. The book was organized well; he began with the least holy place and ended with the holiest place.

However, I was a bit confused by Hitchner’s argument that the Bible is not the word of God but the book of God. This is contrary to what I have always known about the Bible. I have been taught that it is the word of God because whoever wrote it was inspired by the holy spirit, which is part of God as explained under the holy trinity. I agree that it is the book of God, but I find it hard to understand that it is not the word of God.

Paul did a great job; I disliked nothing about the book apart from the misunderstanding. The book had a lot of positives. There were no grammatical errors, meaning that it was exceptionally well-edited. It, therefore, gets 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to Christians and anyone else who finds it hard to understand the new testament of the Bible as it has been simplified well in this book.
