J. Dillon has made meal planning a breeze with the DillDish Rotating Meal Plan. This book successfully fulfils the primary goal of most meal planning guides by assisting individuals and families in eliminating the mental burden of deciding what to eat. Consequently, it significantly reduces leftover food waste after meals while allowing for a healthier, time-saving, and cost-effective approach to grocery shopping and meal preparation.
J. Dillon shares her journey of struggling with the mentally taxing task of meal planning in her book. This journey led her to experiment with different recipes, curate Pinterest boards, peruse numerous cookbooks, and ultimately develop the book, which became the backbone of her home's meals and kitchen organization system. The author aims to extend this helpful solution to others by sharing it through her book. The book not only reduces meal planning stress but also saves time and money while incorporating fresh ingredients for maximum flavour. The book includes the "DillDish Done-for-You Meal Plan and Kitchen Stock," which integrates a rotating meal plan with fresh ingredients for flavour and packaged ingredients for convenience, along with a comprehensive inventory system. The book features five dinners per week instead of seven, allowing for creative dinners and the consumption of leftovers from previous nights. Additionally, this meal plan is not limited to families and can be utilized by individuals. The book features a consolidated shopping list, which is useful for stocking the kitchen, especially the pantry and fridge.
I love how the book is an excellent guide for meal planning, as it effectively minimizes the mental burden of individuals attempting to organize their meals and also reduces food waste. Apart from offering a diverse range of meal plans for each week, the book also includes a comprehensive shopping list for every plan, allowing readers to stock their kitchen pantry and fridge and thus economize on their grocery shopping. The author's personal experience and journey that led to the creation of the dilldish done-for-you meal plan and kitchen stock are also highlighted, which I find particularly intriguing.
To be frank, there is no aspect of this book that I dislike. It is a perceptive guide that offers readers a comprehensive meal plan and instructions on resetting their kitchen inventory. I would highly recommend this book to individuals, families, schools, or any other group seeking a meal plan with a shopping list that eliminates the burden of mental stress while stocking their kitchen. The book was also exceptionally well-edited and error-free.
I gave this book a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it embodies all the fundamental elements that an effective meal-planning guide should possess. With a rotating meal plan that offers a diverse range of options for five dinner meals a week, the book allows for leftovers and encourages creativity in meal preparation. Additionally, the book provides a comprehensive shopping list that not only saves time but also helps individuals stock up on food in their pantry and fridge, thereby reducing the cost of grocery shopping. However, what truly sets this book apart is the author's account of her struggle with meal planning and how she developed the solutions that she shares with readers.
