Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas is a non-fiction about ensuring equity and inclusion in an organization. Many people dislike other people discriminating against them or robbing the joy of contribution. Equity and inclusion are crucial in addressing systemic discrimination. When there is no equity in an organization, people lack the capacity for empathy, and inclusion is important since when people exclude others, they make them feel profound. The author talks about Equity, Inclusion, and Individual Engagement principle (EIIEP) and describes the two goals that accompany it. He explained how people would use the principle to address systemic discrimination. Read this book and find how equity and inclusion can limit systemic discrimination.

I liked how the author explained the concept of equity and inclusion. He described them using examples such as the case of Rose and Wade and showed how we would use equity to address their problem. It helped the readers understand the meaning of equity and inclusion. He included statistics to show how important some aspects he spoke about in the book are essential in people's life. He used statistics showing how employee engagement has contributed to lower absenteeism, fewer accidents, higher profitability, and high well-being of employees. It showed how essential employee engagement is and that organizations should consider it.

I have nothing to dislike in this book. The author's determination to solve discrimination in organizations is inspiring.

I rate Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas five out of five stars. The book was professionally edited since I discovered an error. It had several positive aspects, such as examples and statistics, to show the seriousness of the discussion. He also collected interviews of Black people who were discriminated in various occasions to show the lack of equity and inclusion. With all these, I give the book a perfect rating.

I recommend this book to people in managerial positions in organizations. Many instances of systemic discrimination involve managers failing to do their part in ensuring equity and inclusion among employees.
