Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas is an educative novel on matters of discrimination of all kinds, such as racism. The author introduces the topic by bringing up the issue of racism, which led to the death of a harmless black man. The police killed him because he was black. He wrote the book into two parts: he discussed the issue of discrimination in part one and interviews of people discriminated against in part two. Enforcing equity and inclusion helps stop discrimination; they should be core values since they contribute to employee engagement. He derives a principle that can help solve the dilemma of discrimination in organizations. If you are interested in the effects of discrimination based on real interviews of people. Read this book.

The author brings up the topic of discrimination, which has been a dilemma in the current world despite many efforts to stop it. He has presented many interviews of people discriminated against in different sectors of many organizations. The data helps those with the power to enforce laws to fight discrimination to see it from other perspectives, increasing efforts toward stopping it. I liked that he used examples of cases in courts that happened to help readers understand the concept of equity and inclusion. There were also visual aids that enhanced the information and made it easier to understand, such as the tables he used to describe Inclusion Culture Matrix.

I couldn't find anything to dislike in this book. It was the voice of many people discriminated against, asking for help from those with the power to stop it.

I rate Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas five out of five stars. It was professionally edited because I noted only one error. The book contains information and evidence that discrimination exists in many organizations and public institutions. It raises the concern of racism and calls for those in charge to take action. The presentation of the data was good such as the use of tables and statistics. Due to all these, I gave this book a perfect rating.

I recommend this book to all people in any organization or work setting. It is where many people experience discrimination, and this book may help employees avoid discriminating against others and practice the virtues of inclusion and equity.
