Never Again Means Never Again is a spirited wake-up call by Michael S Gutter to modern American society. During the Holocaust and the period preceding it, Adolf Hitler managed to convince millions of people that Jews were somehow a threat, which led to the gruesome genocide of Jewish people in what we now know as the Holocaust.

In recent times, more hate groups have sprung up, which has led to a spike in harassment of more Jewish people. Not only should such behaviors not be tolerated, but Michael S Gutter is also advocating that they should not even be given a chance to blossom at all. Instead of sitting passively and defending against abuse, Michael S Gutter takes the stand that the Jewish community should be more proactive by exposing members of these hate groups and investing much more in the growth of the Jewish community.

The Jewish community has contributed so much intelligence and value to the world to be treated with so much disdain. Michael S Gutter attempted to invoke a feeling of Jewish pride by showing the contributions of various phenomenal Jewish-American citizens. But his insight into the Jewish pain of the Holocaust and the discrimination and harassment Jews still face to this day was even more moving. The author employed passionate sentences and side remarks that clearly expressed his displeasure. Even better, he showed his readiness to put in the work, and he gave meaningful suggestions on how to improve the Jewish community to prevent the rise of harassment against Jews.

While some readers may prefer the “Martin Luther King,” diplomatic response to discrimination, Michael S Gutter is more “Malcolm X” with his approach. He advocates for Jews to take the position of offense instead of defense. He makes numerous biting remarks, calling out hate group members. While his strong language can often be uncomfortable to read, his passion for protecting minorities, especially the Jewish community, was genuine. And I figured that members of hate groups deserve to feel discomfort for their backward beliefs. I also enjoyed how the author tied the plight of the Jewish community to other minority groups like blacks, the LGBTQ+ community, and disabled people. Acknowledging Jewish history while affirming the experiences of other minority groups that go through constant discrimination was empowering.

However, the author’s side and biting remarks became exhausting to read. It was also difficult to figure out the appropriate audience for this book because while often directly referring to Jews and pointing out issues that they should no longer take lying down, the author directly referred to members of hate groups in the second person as well. Consequently, my rating is 4 out of 5.

According to the author, this book is for hateful people who have prejudices against minorities, particularly Jews. But hate groups reading this book (which is highly unlikely since no one wants to read a book that calls them out) is not enough. This book is majorly for Jews and everyone who has been assaulted because of discrimination. What this book will do is empower such readers to know that there’s a whole community rising to back them up and that harassment and unscrupulous killing will not be tolerated ever again.

The concerns addressed by this book are ones that, if neglected, breeds hate and will probably lead to conflicts and, unfortunately, genocide sometimes. I love the reviewer's juxtaposition of the author's writing style between MLK and Malcolm X, and the negative aspects noticed while reading. Great review.

Thank you Your review has painted an inspiring picture of the book's author's passionate writing that creates a feeling of Jewish pride while passionately exposing members of hate groups. It's commendable how Gutter suggests that the Jewish community be more proactive and invest more in their growth. You've given me an excellent idea of what to expect from the book: empowering Jews and everyone assaulted because of discrimination. Empowerment is what everyone needs in a world where people still face discrimination because of their religion, race, or color. Thank you for recommending this book, and I can't wait to read it!

Woah it is indeed refreshing to come across a book with an author choosing to take an aggressive stance. I like what the author promotes in this book against such hate groups in the Jewish Community. Though it is true that referring to the hate groups in a second-person POV could be confusing as well.

Wow, it's truly invigorating to encounter a book where the author boldly assumes an assertive position. I admire the author's advocacy within this book against hate groups targeting the Jewish Community. Nevertheless, I do acknowledge that employing a second-person point of view when referring to these hate groups could potentially lead to confusion.

As a prospective reader, "Never Again Means Never Again" by Michael S Gutter appears to be a passionate call to action against hate and discrimination, particularly targeting the Jewish community. The author's proactive stance in advocating for the protection and empowerment of the Jewish community is commendable, and his use of historical context, personal insights, and meaningful suggestions adds depth to the narrative. However, some readers may find the author's strong language and biting remarks exhausting, and determining the book's target audience could be challenging due to its direct references to both Jews and members of hate groups. Overall, this book seems like a powerful tool for empowering those affected by discrimination and fostering solidarity within the Jewish community and beyond. Well done for a well-analysed evaluation of the book.

Your review of Never Again Means Never Again by Michael S. Gutter captures the book’s urgent call for the Jewish community to be proactive against hate. Gutter advocates for moving from defensive to offensive strategies in fighting antisemitism and uses strong, sometimes uncomfortable language to emphasize his point. Your comparison of his approach to Malcolm X's assertiveness versus Martin Luther King Jr.'s diplomacy adds depth, and noting the book's connection between Jewish struggles and other minority groups highlights its broader relevance.
