The book, “Stress Test: How Donald Trump Threatens American Democracy,” is a collection of previously published newspaper articles written by William Cooper. Cooper is a globally-acclaimed theorist known for his controversial commentaries about US politics.

The articles published in the said book explain how the former American president's incompetency posed a threat to the state's democracy. Since the instincts and actions of Trump considerably devalued the ideas of ideal American politics. Therefore, Cooper regards Trump's tenure as a stress test for American democracy, where the title originates.

It is an unbiased and thought-provoking book that can even make Trump supporters rethink their choices. Cooper has also made valid points based on true events, with various examples given throughout the book. Another aspect of the book that I liked greatly is, that the book is designed for audiences all over the world since it gives a global overview of the impact of Trump’s misbehavior. The book is written intriguingly and is very easy to read, the author has devised the articles based on their relevance to a certain topic. For example, Cooper has put all articles regarding press media and the public under the same heading. This makes it easier to read and refer back to when needed.

I disliked nothing about the book and there is nothing I would like to change about it. It is a provocative read with well thought-out statements and relevant facts. It was also professionally edited and there were no grammatical or typing errors. This is why I give it a five out of five stars rating.
