In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All by Scott Hughes, is a biography about connecting with our true selves. Hughes takes the reader on a philosophical journey by blending self-help, philosophy, and spirituality to create a cohesive and impactful message, making it more than just a typical self-help book.

This was a super inspirational book! I found it so amazing how Hughes was able to use humor to talk about such a serious topic. All of the chapters connected and flowed with each other so well. I loved how he wrote a sentence about the previous chapter in the chapter being read. It really helped when I went back to the book after putting it down for a few days.

Hughes used many beautiful quotes that really unified his ideas. I could tell he had really spent a lot of time researching his book and was fully committed to getting his message across to all his readers. Additionally, the author’s use of well-crafted quotes may have helped to illuminate his points and make his ideas more memorable and impactful for readers.

One negative thing I found about this book is that a lot of times, the author went on a tangent without focusing on the present. While on his tangent, he also used too many words to describe his ideas. I felt like the author should first explain and clarify what he meant in simpler words before proceeding to the next topic.

Overall, the book’s unique blend of humor, inspiration and structural coherence provided valuable insights and perspectives on the topic at hand. I can’t stop using the word inspirational, but that is the perfect word to describe this book! I am amazed! The reason for my rating is because of the wordiness. Otherwise, this book receives a 5 out of 5 stars!
