Our journey on Earth is short and controlled by forces beyond the physical realm. Death can come at any time, and we have no power to stop it. The Angel of Bensville Road by James L Doukas Sr. tells the story of the author's near-death experience and how it changed his life. James was involved in a ghastly car accident 28 days before his twentieth birthday. To save him from pain, his guardian angel took his soul away from his body. But this was a mistake that God himself salvaged. In this book, you'll discover why God rescued the situation, his life after the accident, and why he wrote the book thirty years after the incident.

I've read different stories of people with near-death experiences, but the author's story is unique because he writes about it thirty years later. I believe in life after death and that there are forces that control the universe, so I wouldn't doubt the author's story.

I appreciate how the author tells his story and includes his family's experiences. Before the accident, he and his family members weren't devoted Christians, but that didn't stop God from loving him. I was surprised to learn that angels make mistakes, as I didn't know that before reading this book. It opened my eyes to the power of God and his faithfulness. I kept praying that my guardian angel wouldn't make mistakes and would always be alert. After the accident, one might think that life would go smoothly for the author, but he faced daily challenges.

The author makes excessive repetitions of hearing God's voice in the book. Although he was trying to emphasize his points, it became tiring at a certain point. Aside from this, I have no other criticisms of the book.

The book was professionally edited, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It renewed my faith in God and taught me more about angels, cherubim, seraphs, and life. I would give it a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to the words used by the author in the book like this: "Don’t let your circumstances control you; instead, control your circumstances." "It's not what happens to you; it’s how you handle what happens to you."

I recommend this book to accident victims, parents and guardians of accident victims, young adults, Christians, and anyone interested in reading about the happenings of the metaphysical.

This is a bitter-sweer experience. Not everyone gets the chance James got. may our guardian always be conscious at all times.
