[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "ChainMeet to Inspire Forward" by Susan R Welch.]
Every day, the world is growing into a more lonely place. Human relationships aren't at their best. Every person is consumed by his own life, and people don't connect that much anymore. Human connection is the basis of life. No matter what people say, nothing beats a good chitchat with a friend or a close person. Susan R. Welch had two incidents with two different friends. Each of them invited her out. She had two totally different experiences with them. One of them was only focused on herself, while the other gave her a good experience that inspired her to start something that encourages people to be good friends. In ChainMeet to Inspire Forward by Susan R. Welch, the writer tells us all about the ChainMeet movement and the website that she created to be the change she wanted to see in the world.
I like the positivity in this book. I admire people who have the courage to take actions that can change something in the world. Susan's idea is simple and brilliant at the same time. She took the idea to another level when she created a website that could be a community for people applying the idea. I like the impact this idea must have on many lonely people's lives.
I didn't hate anything about the book. Sometimes, I felt there was a bit of repetition. I swayed between feeling bored and thinking this was there to assure the idea and plant it well. There were links at the end of each chapter as a reference to anything the writer thought needed more elaboration. That was a good touch.
The book isn't just an idea. It's a movement that you can be part of today. You get to participate in making the world a better place for you and for the people around you. The book sets the foundation and gives advice on more than just the movement. It shows you how to be a good friend and listener. It also shows you how to treat people with kindness. The book received professional editing, as I could only notice one minor mistake. For all of this, I rate this book five out of five stars.
I recommend the book to anyone who is feeling lonely or sees lonely people around. I also recommend it to people who would like to learn how to be a better friend and self.
