A young boy named Dexter saw an airplane in the sky before he could even fully comprehend the meaning of one. The boy did not know that his fascination would soon become an inescapable obsession. Dancing with the Devil: Memoirs of a Pilot is an autobiography by Dexter Cox that details his difficult journey to becoming a pilot and his experiences as one. Dexter was a passionate young boy who worked multiple grueling jobs to be able to afford his license. He then went on to become not only a respected pilot but also an aviation specialist. The title of the book refers to the multitude of engine failures and accidents that the author was involved in. The book chronicles one life-threatening incident after another that the author braved.

This autobiography is one that needed to be shared. It has the perfect amount of passion and thrill. There is never a dull moment in the story. It is like watching an action movie. The reader is transported next to Cox in the cockpit. The reader experiences the thrill of the moment along with the author. The book provides detailed information about an airplane’s functioning. This depicts the author’s vast knowledge and helps the reader understand the logistical issues that arise while flying a plane.

There was nothing that I disliked about this book. The book has done exceptionally well in its editing, as I could not find any grammatical errors, typos, or inaccuracies. The storyline is enjoyable and inspirational at the same time. It is also funny and emotional at times. The author has laid his whole life bare, and it is one that deserves to be known.

I give Dancing with the Devil: Memoirs of a Pilot by Dexter Cox 5 out of 5 stars. This is a great autobiography that covers over 8 decades of the author’s life. I would recommend this book to any aviation enthusiast. The book will help them better understand the functioning of an airplane.

The review is short and informative. The cover of the book does not give the feel of a memoir. Rather, it feels to be a fantasy. Thank you for describing the book.

The journey to becoming a pilot must be a not-so-easy feat. I can tell from the review that the author faced a lot of hardships before achieving his goals and dreams. The title also sounds so intimidating and scary that I initially thought it was a horror story. But it was actually a memoir of a pilot into the dangerous world of flying a plane. Thanks for the review.
