Review of Always Strive to Be a Better You
In his book, Always Strive to Be a Better You, Pete Hall offers insights into leading a happy, virtuous, and fulfilling life. Through 13 valuable life lessons, Pete demonstrates how ordinary individuals can transform their lives into something extraordinary. The book showcases seven ordinary people who have embraced their potential, surpassed expectations, and pursued greatness, serving as an inspiration for all of us, everyday individuals. Pete has encountered numerous people on his journey, and he carefully selected these seven individuals to demonstrate how we can follow in their footsteps and live extraordinary lives.
This book is a journey of self-discovery that actively involves you in exploring your own identity. The author describes it as a quest for a more enriched, healthier, and happier life, encompassing various aspects. After each chapter, there is a designated moment for pausing and reflecting. During these sessions, you are prompted to answer significant questions that illuminate your inner self, guiding you towards becoming a better version of yourself. These thought-provoking questions serve to challenge you, encouraging you to tap into your hidden potential and align your true essence with your actions and accomplishments.
I found great pleasure in reading this book, and I was thrilled to discover that many of the lessons discussed by the author align with the principles I already live by. It reassured me that I am on the right path. One particular lesson emphasized the importance of finding joy and passion in our endeavours, as it is the key to achieving success. The author emphasized that we should savour and appreciate the process and the journey towards our goals, rather than solely focusing on the result. According to the author, it is the journey itself that holds greater significance than the outcome.
There was absolutely nothing that I found displeasing about this book. It was exceptionally well-edited and devoid of errors. The author successfully captivated the readers, instilling a sense of inspiration and motivation to strive for personal improvement. This non-fictional motivational book offers practical advice on self-discovery, nurturing a positive mindset and attitude, and fostering constructive inner dialogue through affirmations. By embracing the principles outlined in the book, readers can embark on a transformative journey of personal growth, leading to a more gratifying and inspired life.
I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to the immense motivation it instilled in me while reading. One aspect I particularly enjoyed was how the author employed the stories of those seven individuals to illustrate each life lesson, lending an authentic and relatable quality to the book. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to individuals who aspire to lead a more fulfilling life and are in search of guidance on how to thrive in our complex world.
