Very often, people get so much focused on their jobs and work related stuff that they forget about planning ahead for their life after retirement from their respective work. Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a fascinating piece of art that provides an insight on the significance of making necessary plans prior to retirement. It focuses on career and retirement planning. This thirteen-chapter book contains essential and strategic information that will help one at any stage of his life to kick-start plans of establishing a sustainable life after retirement.

The author describes the reduced life-expectancy, which necessitates one to make appropriate and effective financial decisions. Reconfigurement is pivoted to help individuals make important steps in preparation for their retirement. This includes methods of investment, income protection and different types of investment. He describes how insurance came about and emphasizes on having an insurance policy.

The book enlightens young population to reconsider their life course and plans. I was really compelled by one story about Ed, the chiropractor, who is not satisfied about his 60-hour job a week and really wishes to be a veterinarian. It also enlightens us on the consequences of failing to plan ahead.

Blending jokes and sense of humor makes this book more exciting. It is very insightful and informative. I have really learned a lot. It reveals factual knowledge on financial decisions. The author diversely examines each point of view.

There is nothing I dislike about the book. The language used is simple and clear. I found no grammatical error throughout my read, the book was exceptionally edited. The humorous aspect makes it more entertaining. I believe this book deserves a 5 out of 5 as it was delivered beyond my expectations. I recommend this book to anyone. As Fleischauer elaborates, there is no time that is too early or late to plan for the future.
