A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah documents his journey as a political activist in areas of the world that have seen substantial amounts of conflict. This is a fascinating memoir that gives a unique insight into the author’s outstanding work. This book is one of inspiration, documenting a man on a mission and his dreams of peace.

A Dream For Peace shows the evolution of a boy’s childhood in the United States, ultimately ending in the celebration of an accomplished man, diplomat, and doctor. I found Dr. Ghoulem Berrah to be an inspiring man. This book is a celebration of the author’s numerous and noteworthy achievements. I found the author to not only be an excellent and commendable individual but to have also been an excellent and entertaining writer. I found this memoir to be unique and enjoyable. The author brings welcome life and a unique flair when documenting his already fascinating life.

I cannot write this review without dedicating a section of commendation to Dr. Ghoulem Berrah and his achievements. The selfless attitude and humility shown throughout the book by the author are inspiring and commendable traits. I must say this book has inspired me to emulate my behaviour in a way similar to the author’s. I do this in order to hopefully one day have a fraction of the impact he has had. Furthermore, in a time of such political turmoil, the author stayed true to his beliefs and also gave others a chance to explore their own beliefs. Essy Amara, a friend of the author, is mentioned in the book. A section documents the author’s work building a mosque and a church. This gave people in the community an opportunity to practise whichever faith they wished. It was acts of selflessness and kindness like this that I found most touching when reading the book. It goes without saying that I cannot find a single fault in the life of such an extraordinary man and book.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. To add to the already masterful content, I found no editing mistakes at all. This book was an inspiration and a pleasure to read.

I recommend this book to all people looking for their next role-model. I commend Dr. Ghoulem Berrah as he has inspired me to be the best person I can be. This achievement of his, of course, adding to his already huge list of achievements, masterfully documented in this book.
