Review of A Dream For Peace
A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is based on personal experience. Berrah is an Algerian citizen who was raised in Algeria. He attended a school in France, where he studied medicine. He became an activist against colonialism and racism. Berrah creates the North Africa Muslim Students Association with his fellow Algerians, who are subject to discrimination. They decide to strike. This made the police chase after Berrah, as they believed he was the perpetrator of the strike. Berrah and Antoinette, who is Berrah's wife, are crossing the border without the necessary documents. They are arrested. After their release, Berrah joins some freedom fighters he found training in a camp. He is recognized as a doctor, and he becomes a counselor to President Houphouet.
I liked everything about this book. The author used a language that is easy to read and understand. The cover page is colorful and beautiful. The author must have spent a lot of time making it look beautiful. The pictures in the book show the authenticity of the story. The author gave a clear and vivid description of the characters in the book. This brings about a smooth flow in the plot.
The author mixed the emotions. Despite being sad that Berrah and his friends were mistreated as they tried to fight discrimination, I am happy that they succeeded. Berrah did not allow anything to stop him from achieving his desired goal. He is a role model. I advise the workers in government to follow Berrah's footsteps. Despite being Muslim, Berrah marries a Christian lady. This brings Christians and Muslims together.
I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars . It was professionally written and edited. I did not find any errors in the book. The characters are well described, and the plot is smooth. I recommend this book to readers who are interested in the history of Africa.
