Addressing Systematic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas is a non-fictional book about combating all sorts of discrimination based on gender, race, skin color, level of expertise, and other aspects that factor a cause of partiality. The author presents his concepts in two main sections: the importance of focusing on equity and inclusion and the reframing process. To adequately show the relevance of his formulations, he has included a series of interviews with various individuals who had been discriminated against in their places of work, in public offices, in seeking medical attention, and in many avenues of day-to-day life. In each case, the author shows the victim's desired outcome, the environment where discrimination happened, and the reality of the problem stated.

The concepts formulated in this book focus on pushing for equity, inclusion, and inclusion for all individuals. When these factors are considered, then there is no chance for discrimination. Again, the formulations offer recommendations on improving our cultures, which will bring full engagement upon the empowerment of all individuals regardless of gender, race, faith, profession, and originality. Once more, from the series of interviews conducted, the weight of discrimination is therefore evident, and hence, a need to oppose it at all levels of life becomes necessary. Furthermore, the book is very relevant since it addresses racism, transgender, cultural, and faith concerns.

The place of policies that govern racism and discrimination under the governing constitutions is not mentioned. Its role in fighting racism, therefore, becomes questionable.

I rate this book five out of five stars. The book's editing is professional. Additionally, the concepts align with the book's title, Addressing Systematic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem.

I recommend this book to any individual holding any leadership position at any organization. The fight to attain discrimination-free life begins with all leaders acting in areas of their jurisdiction.
