A Dream For Peace is a captivating memoir by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, detailing his life and struggles in Algeria during the 1990s. The book is an exceptional representation of the Algerian people's struggle for peace, and it highlights Dr. Berrah's exceptional bravery and commitment to his country.

One of the most striking aspects of the book is Dr. Berrah's depiction of his mother. She was a powerful and inspiring woman who instilled in him a strong sense of morality and love for his country. Dr. Berrah's mother was a widow, and her unwavering dedication to her beliefs and principles is evident throughout the book. Her influence on Dr. Berrah's life is undeniable, and it is a testament to her strength and resilience as a mother.

The writing style of the book is compelling and engaging, making it easy to read and follow. Dr. Berrah's prose is clear, concise, and descriptive, transporting the reader into the heart of Algeria and the struggles of its people. He describes his experiences in vivid detail, and the emotions he conveys are raw and honest. His writing is both personal and political, and he does an excellent job of balancing the two.

What sets this book apart is Dr. Berrah's courage and willingness to risk his life to save his people. As a doctor, he faced numerous challenges, from treating the wounded in war-torn hospitals to dealing with the constant threat of violence. His account of the atrocities committed by the government is chilling, and his bravery in the face of danger is nothing short of remarkable.

Throughout the book, Dr. Berrah's unwavering commitment to peace is evident. He is a man driven by his belief in justice and the power of the people. He provides an in-depth look into the struggle for peace in Algeria and the toll it took on him and his countrymen.

A Dream For Peace is an outstanding memoir that tells the story of a man's journey through one of the most turbulent times in Algerian history. Dr. Berrah's writing is powerful and evocative, and his commitment to his country and his people is truly inspiring. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in Algeria's history, the fight for peace, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. The book has only two errors, so I believe it was professionally edited. Therefore, I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. If you are interested in reading about the experiences of an individual who risked their life to save their people and their country and learning about the history of Algeria, then this book may be worth checking out.
