COVID-19 is one of those global events that, despite your best efforts, you will always remember. Everyone throughout this time had their own perspectives on the world and experienced their own share of events, whether they were lucky enough to never contract the deadly virus, came out positively but lived, or had to watch a loved one become ill, and even after trying so hard, it is bound to leave scars that would be hard to erase. How we learn to move on from such occurrences is key to mentally developing the mind.

The author of Hold Your Breath: An Oncologist's Diary, Rana Bitar, uses a poetry book to express her perspective on the world at the time. While everything appears to be fine, nobody truly understands what is going on in other people's heads, according to oncologist Rana Bitar, who played a crucial role as a doctor during this worldwide crisis.

Reading from the author's perspective was enjoyable. Since nobody can truly predict what will happen the next day, why not live life to the fullest, try the things we were too afraid to try, and visit the places we did not have enough time for? I think the book's opening question about where you would want to be on your last day is very significant. Instead of concentrating on anything else but living life to the fullest, I believe there should be an ideal balance between responsibility and irresponsibility. The author's straightforward writing style, which made it simple and reassuring to read, was another thing I truly liked.

There was nothing in the book that I disliked, and each chapter was just as enjoyable as the last. The book was really well edited, as I was unable to find any mistakes in it.

For the aforementioned reasons, I give the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, and I would recommend it to readers interested in learning about perspectives during the epidemic as well as readers who enjoy poetry books.
