Niching Up by Chris Dreyer takes us on a journey of ideating, creating, and growing a business in a market niche of choice. The book has eight chapters that cover the topics that are essential for understanding how niching up works. The topics addressed in the book include the concept of niching; the pros and cons of niching; how to choose the niche; how to decide whether and when to niche; how to price the product or service in the chosen niche; how to generate more revenue in the niche; how to develop relationships with potential customers and competitors; how to use referrals to grow business in the niche; and how to work efficiently in the niche. The book concludes with a very useful summary of the main takeaways.

Reading Niching Up, I felt as though Chris Dryer led me step-by-step through the maze of business niching from the starting point of identifying a niche to the ultimate success of a profitable business. I enjoyed Chris Dreyer’s vivid stories of his own experience of niching. I was impressed by his concise and logical writing style. The easy-to-understand, memorable, and vivid examples Chris Dryer used to explain complex concepts related to the strategy and tactics of niching made this book a captivating read. Most of all, I liked that the book answered all questions I had about niching. I learned how to approach the challenges of niching and win the market competition game. The book was so impeccably edited that I did not find a single error. There is no aspect of this book that I can fault. So, I wholeheartedly rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I highly recommend Niching Up by Chris Dreyer to a wide audience of sole traders, start-up entrepreneurs, owners of existing businesses, marketing experts, and anyone interested in setting up and growing a business.
