Are you looking for a comprehensive guide to financial planning and retirement? The book Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer would be perfect for you. With over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor, Fleischauer shares some insights on how to make good financial decisions. The book covers topics such as saving for retirement, investing wisely, and protecting our assets.

The author emphasizes the importance of planning and reconfiguring our lives at any stage to create a comprehensive retirement plan. He talks about different retirement strategies and some of the activities we might engage ourselves in before and after retirement. Planning will enable us to have a steady income to support our current and future financial goals. The author acknowledges the difficulty of managing expenses and encourages budgeting. In the book, we see the importance of determining the amount of money you may need to have a comfortable retirement and starting to work towards that goal.

I liked the many lessons learned from this book. Some lessons learned include the importance of planning, living within your means, saving for retirement, and investing and protecting your assets. I appreciate Fleischauer going out of his way to recommend several books on different topics. The book had several quotes from popular people that were very helpful.

I disliked the spacing in the book. While reading, I felt like the words were a little compressed. Also, the book could have benefited from more practical examples. This did not affect my reading experience.

I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. It was professionally edited, and hence I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors. The simple language and the use of humor made the book very engaging. I would recommend this book to all adults. This is because they may learn valuable lessons from it about planning for their retirement.

This book is unique to me. It is one of the very few financial advising authors that talked about retirement. It jolted me to the reality that I won't remain in my prime forever. So I will do my best to apply the suggestions given in this book on how to plan for retirement.
