The majority of people in society struggle against racial discrimination. It seriously harms people, families, civilizations, and even entire nations. Many people are denied the chance to prove their worth as a result of prejudice. If not for the persistence and will of Dr. Frank L. Douglas, he would have been rendered speechless. A young man's voyage to a foreign country while living away from home is described in Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Stream. It clearly outlines the author's struggles and achievements in a foreign country.

Frank is a gifted and knowledgeable person. He took the Senior Cambridge Examination in Guyana (now Guyana), where he completed high school, and won. This made it possible for him to be awarded a scholarship at Lehigh University in the United States for his undergraduate studies. Frank continued to Cornell University to pursue graduate studies. The academic portion of Frank's life has just begun. If you're interested in learning more about the remainder of his voyage, you might want to check out this book.

The author of this book wrote it as a memoir. And I'd say it's among the greatest I've ever read, if not the best. His zeal and fearlessness are admirable. Some of his struggles can be upsetting to read about. How did he overcome each of them? Particularly when the professor purposefully fails him after he passes a course due to his skin tone. Sincerely, I don't think I would have moved on to other colleges like Dr. Douglas did if I were the one. It will be the same everywhere, I'm certain. I also respect his spirit and tenacity.

I learned a lot from this book. I went to Google to look up everything listed here that I was unfamiliar with. It is impossible to stress how crucial it is to surround oneself with positive and encouraging people. Although Dr. Douglas' father was absent from his life, Uncle Willie and a few professors took care of him. That's wonderful. There was nothing disdainful about the book.

Nothing in this article bothered me. It inspires and motivates in equal measure. It's wonderful. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars as a result. The author lived a model life and achieved a superb job. But when he had to give up his religion because things were hard for him, I was disappointed. It is, however, understandable.

Likewise, I didn't notice any mistakes when reading. It is therefore superbly edited. Anyone who appreciates memoirs and historical fiction should check it out. Here, a few historical details are provided. It is suitable for young people as well because there are only a few instances of swearing.
