Review of Reconfigurement
[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer focuses mainly on planning ahead and making the
right decisions. It is a self help book with detailed explanation for a successful retirement. It
provides all the necessary information a reader might have about retirement. covering topics
ranging from income protection, long term insurance, social security, career assessment,
401(k), IRAs and Roth IRAs and the challenges associated with it. One of the points he led
emphasis on was on Income, it being the most important aspect in making plans for a secured
future. Creating a retirement budget plan and how to go about earning an income.
One of the mainstay that was considered, is taking the right path in making career choices
through the use of suggested websites in the book by the author to aid in said decisions. The
assessment is said to be a starting point in understanding where your strength and
weaknesses lies and to make necessary investigation on these choices and steps in achieving
your goals.
The book has so much to offer, it reveals a lot giving guidelines and advice to those who are
nearing or ready for retirement. What I enjoyed about the book is the authors great sense of
humor and applying it in the book making it more engaging and fun to read.
The book is clearly written and easy to understand even for those without the knowledge in
finance.
I would rate this book 5 out of 5 as I saw no errors while reading. I recommend this book to anyone age 30-60 who wants to start an early retirement plan, it
will help the readers understand the challenges associated with the process and plan for a
comfortable retirement.
It is the reality of life as we live in a world where aging is inevitable . In American today
the life expectancy has increased as people now live longer due to improve medicines and
nutrition, the need for Reconfigurement arises. It is a shift from the traditional approach. The
book aids the reader in understanding the need to plan ahead and what retirement is all
about. The author explained the best strategies and opportunities for a successful retirement
plan. Using real life stories to illustrate the concepts better, the book emphasized on understanding and making the right career decisions that will help navigate in choosing the
right plan for retirement. Managing your long term care, Analyzing the best options to invest
in and also the different available insurance policy are all key decisions in planning ahead for
retirement.
Another point to mention is social security, when to make claims and procedures
on how to delay your claims based on personal needs and circumstances. The author further
recommends online calculators and software programs to aid it. The author concluded by
making recommendations of books that might interest readers who want to have a new
outlook on life to broaden their horizon on the retirement process and other things related.
