Susan Mallet's non-fictional book, In Plain Sight, delves into the remarkable occurrences of 2022, encompassing a wide range of themes including war, politics, healthcare, corruption, and the economy. The author thoroughly explores globally significant events such as the Ukraine war, the vaccination efforts, the lifting of COVID restrictions, the passing of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, the economic ramifications of pandemic lockdowns, the political dynamics resulting in three different Prime Ministers in the UK within a year, and the often underestimated influence of global organizations like the United Nations.

Being passionate about politics, I found this book to be a captivating and thought-provoking read. I must commend the author for their skilful analysis of the events discussed within its pages and their ability to establish meaningful connections between them. The well-organized structure of the book, with a meticulous examination of events every month, greatly appealed to me.

I particularly appreciated the author's ability to convey their ideas lucidly and succinctly. It served as a stark reminder of the extensive impact COVID has had on the world, as it continues to create a multitude of other challenges in its aftermath.

Despite its considerable length, I discovered no discernible flaws that would lead me to dislike this book. The author's approach to elaborating on the events that unfolded right before our eyes is truly praiseworthy. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to individuals who are seeking a distinctive perspective on the events of the year 2022, especially political enthusiasts and those who have a fondness for non-fiction literature.

I gave this book a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to its meticulous attention to detail in documenting the events and the author's ability to offer unique perspectives on them. Furthermore, the book stands out for its exceptional editing, as it is devoid of any errors.
