I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time I was reading, and I certainly feel better about my own dating life. If you are a single person, you can definitely relate to the authors' funny and sometimes cringy experiences. Men can also learn a lot about what not to do. It was the perfect book to unwind after a long day at work, and it made me reminisce about my own time living abroad. It’s true that after time passes, you can laugh about your own misfortunes and learn great lessons from them. You can surely know what you don’t like after an awful date; it makes even clearer what you are hoping to find in a partner. I couldn’t stop reading. What was she going to experience next? Are these guys for real?
Even though she went through all these disastrous dates, the author never abandoned her life convictions, her belief in love, or the hope that surely one day she would find a wonderful partner. Which is what most of us single ladies hope comes true.
I rate this book 5 out of 5. I really enjoyed it and absolutely recommend it to anyone who needs a good chuckle. It’s a light read, and I found it very entertaining. I loved the English and Australian slang words; it gave me a clear view of the author's personality. I liked the structure, where she gave an overview before the date and the conclusions at the end of every chapter. You have a clear picture of every situation. It has some sexual content, so it’s definitely a book for adults. In my opinion, the book was very well edited; I couldn’t find any typos in it or have any objections to the way it was written. I really enjoyed it and recommended it to all my single friends, especially the ones who do online dating.
