Review of The Diamond Wealth Real Estate System: A Simple Guide to Building a Cash-flowing Portfolio Without Quitting Yo
The traditional convention of waiting until retirement before one can start living their dream could seem futile because, after working hard for years to live the dream at retirement, you might find out that you don't have the money to live the dream. But with The Diamond Wealth Real Estate System: A Simple Guide to Building a Cash-Flowing Portfolio Without Quitting Your Day Job by Peter Diamond, you get to live your dream without having to quit your day job. The author provides a system that makes money work for you, where you get to make indefinite wealth that will sustain your progeny. And it is amazing how it all started. It started when he and his then-girlfriend planned to organize a massive wedding event that would cost $50,000 and started saving towards it. They were down to an estimate of $32,000 with the hotel deposit just around the corner when they both sat down to rethink the idea of spending such a huge amount for a one-way event and decided instead to use the money to buy a condo and elope together. This seemed to work out well for them, as they got married on an all-expenses-paid trip to Mexico, and after this, they owned their first house.
When I hear of real estate, what comes to mind is the huge amount of money it takes to own one, but the Diamond Wealth System provides a system where you can own a property with little or no money out of your pocket. After reading this book, I am convinced and ready to go into real estate immediately because the idea of living my dream without having to quit my day job is too good to pass up. Although the pictures were all in black and white, they were much appreciated as they gave me a sneak peek into the Diamond Wealth System. I also like the fact that the author provided examples and even went ahead to present some calculations that'll help one understand the system.
But most terms employed in this book were financial terms, which the author didn't elaborate on, making it hard to understand some concepts. I got confused at some point and had to reread some concepts more than once to understand them. A glossary of terms would have provided clarity and handled this issue. Also, the author mentioned that the system could be applied globally but didn't provide examples or stories of people for whom this strategy had worked outside of America.
I rate this book four out of five stars because of the flaws I mentioned above. The book was professionally edited, as I found only one error throughout.
Anyone willing and ready to take control of their time and money should read this book, in my opinion.
