Always Strive to Be a Better You, written by Pete Hall, is more of a personal development book than just an ordinary novel. Certain individuals sincerely want to become better by the day but do not really know how to go about it. The more they try, the more it feels like nothing good can come out of their quest to succeed. Reading this book, I understood that one can always do better, no matter what they think they have achieved in life. If you seek ways to upgrade your life endeavors, then this book is for you.

The author began with a fascinating greyhound and rabbit story. The greyhound was chasing after a rabbit but couldn't get hold of it despite its efforts. Someone close to him then mentioned that the greyhound is definitely not going to catch up with the rabbit. Puzzled, the author asked for the reason for that statement. You must be as curious as he is right now. Flipping through the pages of this book, reading word for word, and paying attention to details, you shall discover that which you seek.

This book was quite interesting. I discovered new words. I never knew mathematics could get so interesting and could be applied in our daily lives. Of the seven people mentioned in this book, Tammy's story inspires me. It inspires me because I discovered that we both have certain things in common. I can attest to the Dunning-Kruger effect. I also gained clarity on how habits are formed, and with that, I have come up with a way of unlearning certain habits. The author's writing style was impressive. The story line was well developed. The pause and reflect aspect of this book was intriguing and opened me up to who I really am. Reading this book taught me not to dwell on past glory.

What is there to dislike about a book that is well written, error-free, and goes ahead to bring out the hidden potentials one may have overlooked? A book that went as far as citing real-life examples to drive home the point that we can all be that which we think we are, and even more. However, I disliked a few things about this book. I didn't like the way the author switched from one person's story to another. Also, books like this are meant to be reasonably long, as readers could get bored reading one thing over and over again, written in different words but still revolving around the same meaning.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I found no errors. It was exceptionally well-edited. I gave it a perfect rating because the few things I disliked, which I mentioned above, were not sufficient to deduct a star. I recommend this book to psychologists, motivational speakers, teenagers, and young adults.

You seemed to have learned so much from this book. I learned that a habit, good or bad, takes over 21 days to fully form. Good habits are difficult to form and easy to live with. The bad ones are easy to form but will destroy you in the long and/or short-term. Wonderful review by the way. The book seems really practical.

I didn't even notice the book's cover. It depicts stairs; each step representing the higher and more ideal version of yourself you attain through hard work and persistence. It suits the book perfectly. The book must've been well thought out, from cover to cover.
