This book is for you, if you want to start a business, have a solid background in your field of expertise, and believe that by focusing on a specific market, you will have an advantage over your competitors.

In his book Niching Up, Chris Dreyer discusses the advantages of niche businesses and how they outweigh their disadvantages. Readers will gain insight into niche businesses from the author's priceless information and compelling examples in this book. The author has gone above and beyond by not only providing input about niche businesses but also additional knowledge about the success of niche businesses. Some issues that have been addressed include when to niche and whether doing so is a good idea for you.

The eight chapters in the 133-page book cover various facets of niche businesses. The book begins with the downsides of niche businesses, and the remainder of the book focuses on their advantages. It has a nice layout with succinct headlines placed in strategic spots throughout the book. It is easier to understand because the book is written in plain and simple English language.

The concept of the book could have been tedious, but the author's engaging style made it enjoyable to read. I liked the author's straightforward communication style because it made me feel like a friend was explaining it to me. This book's ability to stay on the topic along with a variety of examples and analyses made me feel more connected to the subject. Another feature I appreciated was the author's detailed explanations of the subjects and pointing out beforehand what the readers will learn. The pointers allowed me to know that I would be learning very specific information that was related to a particular topic rather than just general information.

The only criticism of this book could be the frequency of the same words, but the author did so in a fun way that made the explanations interesting and engaging. While I find a negligible number of grammatical errors, the book appears to be professionally well-edited. It would be an absolute pleasure for me to give Niching Up a perfect score of 5 out of 5 stars.

Anyone considering starting a business with knowledge or experience in their field will find this book to be a worthwhile read. This book provides plenty of fascinating information and advice for anyone questioning whether a niche business can be profitable or simply wants to learn more about it.
