Retirement can be a hazy destination. And given how challenging midlife crises may be, dealing with late-life issues after retirement is another agonizing headache. According to the book, you can change the entire course of your future to a new and higher level or direction by reconfiguring your life. Even after retirement, you may start a new career, and it might be something you love to do, like a passion. E. Alan Fleischauer's book Reconfigurement is a helpful resource for learning how to accomplish all of that. It offers guidance on what to do to make sure you lead a happy life after leaving your job.

Reconfiguring includes everything from planning for retirement to how potential profession changes later in life may affect your income. This can be done by talking about all of the resources available to you, including different insurance plans, social security, investment possibilities, and even death fees etc. Fleischauer addresses each of these topics in a way that is amusing and simple enough for the average layperson to understand. Although I believe that other books on the topic are far more thorough and in-depth, this one covers the fundamentals, which I believe are crucial to be able to comprehend before consulting with your financial counselor, retirement scheduler, and tax advisor. You must comprehend the terminology before organizing your affairs.

I adore this book because it forces the reader to critically evaluate current events in their lives as well as forecast how they will develop in the future. Even with extensive planning, unexpected events can happen close to retirement. There is no need to panic, though, as the author revealed fallback strategies and advice that would still ensure a satisfying retirement era. I was motivated by the author's use of many accounts of people who made significant investments throughout their working years and afterwards relished their senior years. I also gleaned valuable insights from the struggles of others who didn't manage their youthful days wisely and struggled financially after retirement.

There was nothing to hate about this book; It was exceptionally well edited. Many older people reflect on their younger years and become extremely distressed and regretful. They see young people who are professionally successful and who appear to have their lives well organized. They start to feel dissatisfied, and since they no longer have the energy to accomplish what they would have, they may descend into depression, which could endanger their own lives. The author of this book counsels the reader to make the most of life by seeing the world, forming deep connections with people, seeking out new experiences, engaging in healthy activity, and pursuing a fulfilling career.

Prior to reading this book and realizing how little I knew about finances and retirement, I thought I had a lot of knowledge in these areas. I recommend to people who want to have a secure financial future after retirement. It deserves a 5 out of 5 star rating, as I found nothing lacking.
