Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas is a non-fiction book about tolerance for discrimination. It presents the perspectives of the principles of inclusion, equity, and diversity and highlights their basis. Also, the book illustrates various topics such as racism, microaggression, and individual engagement.

Briefly, this book focuses on Dr. Frank L. Douglas' reflections on discrimination. He presents the psychological culture of an organization and the engagement and motivation of different individuals in their work environment. Also, Dr. Frank offers several clear examples of strong microassaults, microinsults, and microinvalidations, which he emphasizes in some case studies consisting of interviews with some people.

I liked that this book was an alarm signal for the nation's conscience. I loved the schematic organization of Dr. Frank's ideas and his clear establishment of the steps in the process of improving a minority individual's engagement in an organization. I appreciated that the author included several personal examples that emphasized the concept of microaggression. For instance, I empathized with his fear when he faced the police's unjustified force due to an error.

I was impressed by the punctual presentation of the case studies and how the author explained the issues surrounding equity. I appreciated that he encouraged opportunities for black employees and illustrated what they were subjected to. For example, I empathized with the minority employees' situations, especially when they faced accent issues or verbal abuse. Also, I liked how Dr. Frank L. Douglas exposed the parallel between white and black cultures, and I admired his discourse based on rational arguments and effective advice.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. It taught me valuable principles of equity and inclusion, and Dr. Frank's observations concerning racial discrimination piqued my interest. I appreciated that the author offered productive and realistic suggestions for the issues of minority employees. His approach to identifying problems and solutions seemed effective to me. Also, Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem was exceptionally well edited. I discovered no single error while reading it. So, I could not rate it less than 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to minority people who work in hostile environments or experience harassment at work. It is perfect for the members of a department that faces different problems and barriers in its organization. Also, Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem is suitable for a large audience because it has no profanity or erotic content.
